Sophie's Dora Party

Today was Sophie party for her friends and family here in Nashville. Quite a few friends had to back out but that's probably good because we just barely fit everyone in our little abode. LOL. We had a great time playing, face painting, eating lunch and yummy cake! Thank you to everyone who came and especially to Anady and Tammy and Steve for helping to set everything up. I love you all so much! Anady took these wonderful pictures.

Sophie is 3!!!

My baby is three years old! So crazy. We had two parties for her, one in Chattanooga with the family there and one at our house with friends and family here. Sophie had a blast at both parties. Thank you Mamaw for hosting our Chattanooga brunch party. The food was amazing! And thank you Papaw for a beautiful cake and thank you Zack for picking it up! The Bake Shoppe in Cleveland, TN makes the most amazing cake you have ever put in your mouth. Here are some pictures from Mamaw's house that I took with my phone. I will put more on when I get them from Dad. I let him take pictures of the party since his camera is the bomb!

My First Blog!! (It's about time.)

I am so excited to finally start a blog for our family. I really hope it will help keep everyone up-to-date on the happenings in the Nelson household. As I write, Micah is taking and nap and Sophie, who is supposed to be taking a nap, is playing. I can hear her having a grand 'ol time my room. They have both been fighting colds for the last week so I have been letting them nap in separate rooms so that Micah doesn't bug her with his constant waking and whining. Poor guy. He is working on getting his eighth tooth! He will be eight months old in five days. What a guy! He loves to play. He is a definite snuggle bug. He's in twelve month clothes!!! Crazy! Hopefully he will stay in twelve month clothes through the winter. He won't even be twelve months until the end of February. Sophie is beautiful as ever. Her favorite person is Dora the Explorer and her favorite movie is Mary Poppins. She will be getting both for her birthday which is next Friday the 30th. Aaaahhh! I have a three year old! Dave is still loving his fixing computers at Dave Ramsey's Lampo Group, Inc. He is going out of town this weekend to Portland, OR to work an event with them. The kiddos and I are making a trip to Chattanooga to celebrate Sophie's birthday with the fam there. There is so much more to write but I will take a break for now.
